The City Council of La Unión, through its Department of Finance, will stop charging the rate for occupation of public roads to kiosks and cafeterias, restaurants and bars for the placement of chairs during the 2021 financial year.The extraordinary measure that has been approved in the Space Commission for accounts and contracting, is intended to minimize the impact of the health and economic crisis caused by COVID-19 and that is having a very detrimental impact on the hospitality industry due to restrictions that are being carried out to stop the pandemic.This measure is in addition to the one already taken previously by which it is allowed to expand the space on the terraces to be able to save the distancing measures approved by the health authorities.With the modification of the application of the Kiosk Ordinance and the Tax Ordinance of tables and chairs, suspending the application of the same, the Councilor for the Treasury, Elena J.
