Kitchen and flamenco together in La Union in the First Meeting of Haute Cuisine (03/07/2013)

The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz, accompanied by the mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, today presented the 'First Meeting of Haute Cuisine by Levante Cantes' linking flamenco gastronomy 5 to 7 July in the Restaurant 'The vinegar maker' of the Union.

The meeting will include the participation of Murcia Pablo Gonzalez Conejero (The Shack Restaurant Finca Buenavista, Murcia), Mamen Pini (Restaurant vinegar maker, La Union), Paul Martinez (Eszencia Restaurant and El Batel Cartagena), Juan Carlos Pérez (Restaurant Villa Mayor, La Union) and David Lopez (CCT Trainer and culinary consultant).

The five chefs prepare their dishes inspired by different flamenco occurs while a live performance, "so you get to that point of performance that characterizes the singer and flamenco dancer," said Cruz.

This event, which is framed around the Festival Internacional del Cante de las Minas, a dialogue starts next gastronomy and other flamenco, "two of the most creative territories of Spain right now," said Cruz.
