The Mayor of La Unión, in coordination with the Councilor for Finance and the municipal technicians in charge (financial controller and treasurer) of economic management and the municipal Budget, are already studying a package of economic measures to apply in the area of ​​municipal taxes and fees for cope with the difficult situation that will occur as a consequence of this global pandemic that is Covid-19.

Throughout next week, and after studying the economic impact that is going to take place in our already weakened municipal coffers, the special measures that will be taken will be communicated.

One of them is to contribute 60,000 euros, which were earmarked for the Cante de las Minas Festival, to improve and expand the needs of the most disadvantaged families.

The fees for the Nursery, Swimming Pool, etc., as well as the municipal taxes (IBI, IVTM, occupation of public roads for bars and restaurants, etc.) will also be included in those economic measures that the City Council is working on and They will serve to reduce the economic impact that will occur after overcoming this health crisis.

This morning the President of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, held a videoconference with the Mayors of the 45 Municipalities of the Region in which he called for the unity of all citizens and all political forces to get out of this situation. .

Both the FMRM and the CARM, together with the Municipalities of the Region are working together to adopt all the necessary measures to stop this health and economic crisis.
