The cemeteries of La Unión and Portmán will open their doors from Thursday, May 14 (13/05/2020)

Next Thursday, May 14, and after having fulfilled the requirements to enter Phase I of the de-escalation, the La Unión City Council is going to open the La Unión and Portmán Cemeteries.The cemeteries will remain open from Monday to Sunday from 8:00 a.m.

to 2:00 p.m., so that citizens can visit their deceased after having been closed since the State of Alarm was decreed in the month of March.In addition, in compliance with the regulations established in this Phase I, access to cemeteries will be limited with regard to visits for cleaning and decorating niches, tombstones and pantheons.

We also remember that in the case of funerals and in accordance with this Phase I, only a maximum of 15 people can attendThe La Unión City Council will ensure compliance with health regulations so that visits to the churchyard are carried out in an orderly manner avoiding crowds.As for access to it, the use of a mask and gloves in the enclosure is recommended, as well as maintaining the safety distance between people, avoiding the formation of groups.Despite not having been open to the public, in the cemeteries the maintenance and conditioning tasks necessary to guarantee their care have been carried out by the Department of Infrastructure.The City Council will inform about the extension of hours as we progress through the de-escalation phases towards the new normality.
