The residents of La Union eligible for aid for the rehabilitation of their homes (23/04/2016)

The residents of La Union as well as the towns of Roche and Portman, will have access to aid launched by the Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructure to finance new or ongoing activities for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of their property.

This is reflected today the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia (BORM), which publishes the Order of the Ministry with the rules governing this line of subsidy, including in the area of ​​Regeneration and Urban Renewal (ARRU) of the current Housing Plan .

This plan, said the adviser, Francisco Barnabas, "aims to improve residential tissues and functionally recover historic areas, urban centers, degraded neighborhoods and rural communities".

Francisco Barnabas stressed that "the regional government maintains its policy of investing in housing projects of social content, whose recipients are mainly those with less economic resources and greater need for protection."

Improvements in the municipality materialize with the rehabilitation of 173 homes, the redevelopment of public spaces and layout of the streets and community recreation areas.

"These actions will help to improve the social and economic environment of the area and foster integration, local participation, job creation and consolidation of the recovery of the construction sector," said the counselor.

Eligible activities involve the construction of a maximum of two houses, with minimum energy rating B type, replacing other previously demolished, and rehabilitation of multifamily housing 171 or a single housing.

The beneficiaries of the grants will be the sole owners of residential buildings and communities of owners, who have until the 31 May 2017 to run the proceedings.

The residents of La Union may develop rehabilitation in their homes encompassing from conservation, maintenance and intervention in fixed installations, equipment and own common elements, to improve energy efficiency and accessibility to buildings.

In this case, they may obtain aid nearly 50 percent of the total budget of the intervention, with a maximum amount of 14,850 euros.

For the reconstruction, citizens will benefit from grants involving up to 35 percent of the cost, with a maximum of 30,000 euros per household to replace another and demolished.

To attend to these calls, interested parties must submit a duly formalized and signed by the person acting on behalf of the homeowners association or group of communities or requesting assistance as sole owner of a building application.

Among the documentation to provide for the granting of aid, in the case of rehabilitation, should provide the Evaluation Report Building, completed and signed by the competent technician, and the rehabilitation project, while for the other mode the reconstruction project be provided.

More aid ARRU

The Minister of Public Works indicated that such aid can be requested and also in the municipalities of Cartagena, Torre Pacheco, Puerto Lumbreras, Cehegín, Lorquí and Bullas.

"Through this figure of social and economic transformation will push this year to improve 811 homes of the seven municipalities that have ARRU" said the adviser, which will involve a total investment of 14,503,993 euros.

Of the 14.5 million government (state, regional and municipal) allocated more than 7.4 million, which represents almost 50 percent of the total cost of the works, while individuals bring more than seven million euros.
