The Third Meeting of Haute Cuisine by levante fuses creative cuisine with recitals of flamenco (22/06/2016)

Velandrino July chefs, Maria Jose Martinez and Mamen Pini have prepared a special menu that will be served on 5 and 6 July on the centennial unionense restaurant El Vinagrero.

The Third Meeting of Haute Cuisine by levante gastronomy and join a Flemish year, for the most discerning palates can enjoy an attractive menu, enlivened with live flamenco music.

This event is organized by the restaurant El Vinagrero in collaboration with the Flamencology of the Catholic University San Antonio and the Foundation Cante de las Minas.

The poster of the event, is by the versatile and prestigious unionense artist Esteban Bernal, who was inspired by a Castillete Miner, one of the hallmarks of the landscape of the Sierra mining unionense to give this exciting event image.

Velandrino July, is a young chef who murciano unveiled to the public for its participation last year in the Top Chef "program, but that already had extensive experience and prestige for having worked with Dani García, Quique Dacosta ,. .. he has also gained experience in the kitchens in London, France, Morocco .... and has been head chef at the Madrid restaurant Rodrigo de la Calle (1Star Michelin).

Maria Jose Martinez, is also a young Murcian chef, although currently resides in the city of Valencia, where he is head chef of the restaurant "Bags".

His perseverance, dedication and humility has managed to convey your kitchen a touch of imagination and creativity being highly valued nationally.

Not surprisingly, this year has been nominated for Best Disclosure Award @ cociner 2016 at the prestigious Madrid Fusion gastronomic event, achieving third place (although it was the absolute winner in voting in social networks).

Mamen Pini, is the head chef of the restaurant El Vinagrero.

Devises a simple and friendly kitchen with the product, but giving a personal touch vanguard achieving harmonization and a perfect balance between creativity and tradition.

In 2010 he was awarded the National Award for Culinary Arts, awarded by the International Festival of Cante de las Minas.

These first three swords of the culinary arts have developed a menu inspired, how could it be otherwise, in the landscape of mining in their native mountains and sing, sing Levantine mining.

The menu consists of appetizers: Vermouth Ajoblanco-Melon, croquettes Iberian, Airbag Tartar of Bonito with touch poussin, followed by the following dishes: mullet, Salt and Pickles (accompanied by milk tiger with cauldron background Sea minor Pyrite (seasonal tomatoes, oyster, mertensia and ficoide), Squid-Ink, Hostas and Citrus, Mero- michirones, kelp, tremella and other vegetables, and Acopio turkey (turkey rice balls and mustard), and dessert, Lake Sulphur (chocolate and red fruits).

In each of the services they will explain to diners each of the creations that have developed, with a background of live flamenco music, to put colophon at the end of succulent menu in each of the four services (lunch and dinner on 5 and July 6), with a cante recital by Jeromo Segura, accompanied on guitar by Rosendo Fernández.

Jeromo Segura is a singer whose onubense most of his career has been linked to the dancer Eva Yerbabuena, whose company has served for several seasons, having traveled with her the most important and prestigious theaters in the world.

The final of his career as a soloist accolade would be the clinching Mining Lamp in the 53rd International Festival of Cante de las Minas de La Union.

It was also distinguished by the unionense event a couple of years ago with the Pencho Cros award for best album released by his anthology "Voice of Mine".
