The 17th edition of the Cross "Portman Bay" has been presented in the Hall of City Hall.
The ceremony was attended by the Mayor of La Union, Pedro Lopez Milan, the Councillor for Sports, José Solano Legaz and unionense athlete José Carlos Caparrós "Jaro", member of the athletics team Murcia.
The test will take place on Saturday from 9 to 19:30.
This race is one of the most emblematic and unique athletics events taking place in the region of Murcia, with the peculiarity carry out its route in the vicinity of the Bay of Portman.
As every year the participation is increasing with a total of approximately 750 runners, of which 550 are of absolute race and 200 are children, come from our region and neighboring provinces.
As for the route, for the category of cadets onwards the race is 5.1 Km mixed terrain of soil and asphalt.
Prebenjamines and Benjamins: 400 mts urban;
juveniles and children: 1300 mts urban.
