Lopez Milan: "Bankruptcy in which the PP has left the City Council prevents the necessary investment in the Ecoparque" (25/08/2016)

The Mayor of La Union has indicated that municipal debt of 23 million euros must be added a new invoice unpaid € 521,000 to Cartagena Landfill solid waste treatment in 2012-2015.

The mayor of La Union, Pedro Lopez Milan, before the accusations of immobilism PP in the management of municipal Ecoparque, said that for months is already working on the reopening of this facility.

The City Council has already contacted several organizations such as Abraham Project, an organization that could manage the service but counting on an initial investment that today this City can not assume.

The mayor of La Union recalled that this Ecoparque has never worked at full capacity and that in June 2015, upon our arrival, there were no doors or windows or electrical installation, only four walls by the numerous looting and vandalism suffered in these facilities during the management stage PP.

In addition Lopez Milan has described as irresponsible and the allegations of PP shamelessness that never worried nor cared Ecoparque and has left us in the biggest financial ruin of the history of this City.

Lopez Milan has maintained that the municipal budget had to be reduced by more than one and half million euros and has prioritized spending on strategic lines for the future and development of unionenses, as the creation of bank books with centers educational and Ampas amounting to 84,000 euros in the first phase of this project.

Lopez has said that Milan is an act of hypocrisy such accusations "as it was the Popular Party and Barnabas who left the City Council without paying the fee of garbage since 2012. In the words of mayor" and "accounts It is those that are more than 23 million euros of debt that has caused that we have to welcome the Fund Financial Risk Management in the Ministry of Finance ".

He also said that every day new debts, like the one just arrived by the Office for collection management of the City of Cartagena amounting to 521,000 euros for unpaid Landfill Cartagena since 2012, still show a debt the City council will have to renegotiate as it did last April with COGERSOL, Waste Consortium and the Consortium for Fire Fighting worth 470,000 euros;

"When will explain the PP, the residents of La Union, one million euros left without paying garbage?", The mayor of La Union asks.
