The Union- The mayor of La Union, Pedro Lopez Milan and the Councillor for Culture, Carmen Riquelme, have received at City Hall several copies of the exhibition catalog snapshot "Seres Duende" Grenadian hands Photographer Francisco José Sánchez Montalban's.
The publications will go to consultation and loan for the residents of La Union through funds from the Municipal Library.
In these catalogs you can admire the 61 photographs of singers, guitarists and flamenco dancers who have been part of this series of artistic recreations in black and white showing that art and culture of flamenco is more alive than ever and where they have including portraits creative artists who have gone through the tables of La Union as Rafael Amargo, Juan Pinilla, Alba Heredia or Juan Habichuela Nieto.
The photographic work of Sánchez Montalbán has been admired for this August by hundreds of unionenses and visitors to the 56 International Festival of Cante de las Minas thanks to thirty large-format photographs have been exhibited in the exhibition "Seres Duende" in the Hall of the Casa del Pińón.
The exhibition "Seres Duende" was born as an original project of this photography professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Granada in order to highlight that flamenco is a way of living, a way of breathing and therefore the author devised a series of snapshots which reflected the personality of these figures in front of a target and a very Flemish scenery.
A large number of these photographs collected very familiar faces in this art as they are members of the most influential dynasties of flamenco in our country as Morente, Heredia, Cortés, Maya or Carmona.
