Cynthia Cano vindicates in Lo Ferro the power of the woman with "Bailaora de Postín" (10/03/2018)

March began with energy at Lo Ferro by the hand of Cynthia Cano who presented her show "Bailaora de Postín" at the CAES of Torre Pacheco, within the program of our winter galas and the activities of the "Women's Day" of the Department of Social Services and Equality of the Hon.

City Council of Torre Pacheco.

The night started with the words of the director of our festival, Juan Tomás Frutos, who alluded to the love and passion for living and for the flamenco that one feels in the land of Ferreña.

After him, the verb of the mayor of the Hon.

City Council of Torre Pacheco, Mr. Antonio León Garre, reaffirming with his words the commitment of the pachequero consistory with our festival and our culture, one more year.

Then, the night of Torre Pacheco became a plea for equality between women and men.

The Councilor for Social Services and Equality, Dª.

Veronica Martinez, was the first to defend the role of women in today's society by claiming their importance and calling for parity and equality with respect to men.

The finale to the institutional speeches put Dª.

Rosa Peñalver, president of the Regional Assembly of Murcia, forecaster of our festival and closely linked to Lo Ferro and Torre Pacheco.

More passion in his words and more affirmation about the need for real parity between men and women, for which he has been working all his life.

And if the night began with the cry of the power of the woman, it was latent with the performance of the young bailaora Cynthia Cano, who since she was very little has struggled and worked to achieve her dream: to be a posh dancer.

This is the name of her latest show "Bailaora de Postín", in which, with the artistic direction of Mª Dolores Ros, she once again demonstrated that in the Region of Murcia we have a dancer for a while.

Cynthia offered a trip around three of the great matriarchs of the flamenco dance: Pastora Imperio, Carmen Amaya and Matilde Coral, a frantic journey in which she was surrounded by an excellent group of artists headed by the musical direction and the toque of Luis Medina, the cante by Juan Núñez Pena and Bastián Contreras and the baile, jaleos and compás by the great José Suárez "El Torombo".

His got into his flesh, drank from those eternal sources and offered by tientos tangos, soleá, taranto and alegrías his dance full of strength and knowledge playing with his wide-brimmed hat, dancing to the sound of the cap of "El Torombo", tearing by soleá or by taranto and closing full of grace by alegrías.

In short, great night for Lo Ferro, the woman and Cynthia Cano, who took a tremendous ovation from Torre Pacheco to say goodbye to her as a poser dancer.
