Inauguration of the Museum of Cante de las Minas (30/07/2010)

The Mayor of La Union, Francisco Barnabas, and the Government Delegate, Rafael González Tovar, officially inaugurated the Museum of Cante de las Minas.

El Museo del Cante de las Minas, which will be managed by the Foundation Cante de las Minas, is located on the ground floor of the House of Pinion (C / Mayor, 55) and is connected to the municipal tourist office.

The visit to the Museum during the Festival will be free.

The total project cost, funded by the Plan E, is 200,799 euros.

Further improvements in the Old Public Market

The Old Public Market, a building declared a Cultural and headquarters of the International Festival of Cante de las Minas, has undergone renovation and improvement.

In addition, it has proceeded to repair the exterior windows, primarily those that form the dome.
