Thirteen unemployed workers in the municipality of La Union for nine months (19/08/2010)

The City Council has welcomed the approval of an application made to the Employment Service and Training in the Region of Murcia for the granting of thirteen jobs under the program "Building local and institutional public employment."

The thirteen new employees serve on the City Council for a period of nine months.

Specifically, the City of La Union will have a Bachelor of Science in Information whose business is centered in the Office of Communication of the City of La Union, seven custodial-workers for schools and public spaces of the city, two local experts in tourism and three teachers for the municipal nursery school and Care Centres for Children.

The Mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, highlighted "the satisfaction is for the municipality, in the very difficult times is going through the Union in respect of employment due to the severe crisis facing the country, leaving thirteen unemployed for nine months this situation, and gain work experience that helps them in their future. "

In addition, said Barnabas, "the City, through this program will greatly enhance the services currently provided."

The public employment program is co-funded by the Employment and Training Service of the Region of Murcia and the European Social Fund (80%) through the Operational Programme Publirregional "Adaptability and Employment."

EMPLOYMENT WORKSHOP

On the other hand, it is expected that in the near future, begin Employment Workshop "New sources of employment."

It will consist of 32 students for 12 months, will be trained in the installation of solar thermal panels in schools and public buildings (10 students), and socio-cultural animation (22 students).

In addition, the contract employment workshop 4 others for leadership, teaching and administrative provisions necessary to carry out this program.

Employment Workshop "New sources of employment" is promoted by the City of La Union.

The total cost of this program, funded by the Employment and Training Service of the Region of Murcia and the European Social Fund, is 691,249 euros.
