The PSOE de La Union demands urgent meeting of the Bureau of Local Employment of the alarming unemployment in the municipality (07/10/2010)

The Municipal Socialist Union is extremely concerned with the unemployment data registered in the municipality, led by third year, the regional unemployment rate.

Socialist spokesman Mariano Oliver, criticized the municipal government inaction in this situation and claimed that the PSOE is a year waiting for the government team convened by the Bureau of Local Employment.

Oliver accuses the government of Barnabas is not carrying out active employment policies, despite the existing economic crisis.

"The biggest example is what happened this summer, as the municipality of La Union refrained from asking for professional workshops or Initial Vocational Training Program which until now have been developed and that had a grant of nearly 56,000 euros (28 million pesetas) for each of the three courses that were taught. "

These programs gave training to 45 youth in the municipality and use two monitors that are left after more than a decade out of work by not requesting the City Council.

The courses were taught by these programs are Gardening, Masonry, Welding and Painting.

"We think this because unjustifiable means less important to these young people, aged between 16 and 20 years who are denied the opportunity to learn a trade and also to monitor that played this work and now have lost their jobs ".
