The new roundabout to access the industrial area of La Union will begin construction in November (22/10/2010)

The Union, October 22, 2010.

The construction of the new roundabout to access the industrial estate "What Bolarín" The Union will be launched in November, after the Autonomous Region in May approved a budget of over 1.6 million euros for implementing such jobs.

This is what emerges from the meeting between the Minister of Public Works and Planning, José Ballesta, and the mayor of La Unión, Bernabe Francisco, which has agreed to start work next month after more than 50 companies have applied to carry out the work.

Thus, performance management provides access to this industrial area by constructing a roundabout at the intersection of roads MR-F40 (from the Union to the Camachos) and MR-F41 (from La Union to the hamlet of Roche) in connection with the polygon.

The new road infrastructure will have two lanes of 4.25 meters, berms and sidewalks for two meters also will proceed to the installation of new lighting and horizontal and vertical signaling, as well as the beacon for the entire section under performance.

This roundabout, with an outer diameter of 59 meters in total, will have five entrances: from Los Camachos, the area south of the polygon, the north, from Roche, and from the street Murcia, which connects to the center of La Union .

The works will involve a significant aesthetic improvement in access to La Union and reduce the risk of accidents in a confluence zone that records high traffic intensity derived from the industrial area, with more than 3.8 million vehicles a year, which 365,000 are heavy.
