More than 200 unionenses conduct training courses requested for the new airport (27/01/2011)

A total of 220 people of La Union have already gone to your local Employment Service and Training (SEF) to apply for enrollment in vocational training courses for the new Corvera International Airport, a process that will prepare a 1,000 unemployed in the region and will engage in a first phase, to 575 applicants.

This was stated today in charge of Career Guidance in the SEF of the municipality, Calderón Asunción during the three-shift briefings were held this morning at the Cultural Center 'Asensio Sáez', which was attended by 150 people who had been previously summoned by SMS.

As pointed out by Calderon, "the 150 people who came today are being given an individual appointment to go to our office in the coming days and enroll in a maximum of three courses, while those who have not been cited for term until 10 February to contact us and register. "

And is that even though the municipality is located about 50 kilometers from the International Airport location, the trickle of interested unionenses continues to arrive daily at the SEF, has emerged today as one of the meetings with the presence of firefighters, security guards and other profiles you see in this competition a great opportunity.

Among the concerns and questions from the audience highlighted the foreign language requirement and also the possibility that they give priority to applicants from Fuente Alamo Murcia and courses to be held there and its proximity to the airport, a fact that Calderon has discarded, but stressed that the number of applicants in these cities is much higher.

The training offer includes 12 courses with different profiles, such as airport security guard, maintenance technician CGA, ramp service agent, airport cleaning, airport security, airport services administration; dependent hubs, firefighter, or personal to care for people with reduced mobility.

To access these courses must be registered as unemployed in the respective SEF Employment Offices corresponding to the address of the person concerned, as well as demonstrate the level of qualifications required and meet the specific requirements for each course such as English depending on the required job profile.

Thanks to these training activities, which begin to be taught from the month of May, 575 people will be hired, while the other candidates will make available to the concessionaire, Aeromur, to meet future needs.
