Complete improvement works in the Old Public Market Union (16/03/2011)

The Director General of Tourism, Marina Garcia, opened today, along with the mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, three new gates installed at the entrance of the Old Public Market Union, which involves an investment of 76,000 euros financed between the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Municipality of La Union.

Garcia said that "these works put the finishing touch to any remodeling was done in the public market of La Union."

These have included installation of new interior lighting, repair of roofs and renovation of the toilets.

Regarding the balance of the first year of the Foundation Cante de las Minas, Marina Garcia stressed that "it was very satisfactory, when met all its objectives, an example is the promotion of the festival which led to more than 200 media came to cover last year.

The meeting also agreed to sign two agreements, one with the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment on cooperation between the academies of the Region of Murcia and the School of Flamenco and the other with the City of La Union for the transfer of office services coordinator of the Foundation Cante de las Minas.

In this sense, the next Friday, March 18, will officially unveil the poster of the LI International Festival of Cante de las Minas and soon will be announced the programming.
