Since the works have started to carry out the demolition of the last block of dilapidated neighborhood of San Gil in La Union, which will last until end of this July.
This action will be completion of the works that the Institute for Housing and Land in the Region of Murcia, owner of the houses in the neighborhood, has conducted over the past 3 years with a budget of more than 3 million, and consisted of the demolition of 3 of the 4 blocks of flats that originally existed and the rehabilitation of the remaining integral, which has allowed for 60 new houses for the relocation of the locals and other families in the municipality.
The mayor, Francisco Bernabé, has announced that the City and the Autonomous Region will continue to work in the environment, on the one hand with the construction of the new Public School in the town next to that neighborhood, whose works will be tendered shortly, on the other side with the upcoming launch of an employment workshop to build a large park in that location.
