Have been inaugurated this morning the refurbishment and improvement of the Square Union Joaquín Costa, located opposite the Old Public Market in this town, and main enclave of social and cultural life of the municipality.
The event was chaired by the Minister of Universities, Business and Research, José Ballesta Germain, and our First Deputy Mayor, Carlos Martinez Ruiz, accompanied by several members of the government team.
The work has involved an investment of 200,000 euros, fully financed by the Autonomous Community of Murcia, and have considered placing a new pavement and trees, underground cables and expansion of the surface of the square, now Coming from Main Street to the very long stairs to Public Market.
Soon will begin work for the Works and Services Plan this year, through which will make building a network of grids and pipes for roof drainage, which will complete the performance.
Next Wednesday, day 3, the Plaza will become the Avenida del Flamenco, with many stands and catering establishments will be installed on the same occasion of the celebration of the Festival del Cante de las Minas.
