The Bureau of Local Employment outlines the expected labor demand to Portman (09/11/2011)

The Bureau of Local Employment of the municipality of La Union yesterday held a new meeting at the headquarters of our City Council under the chairmanship of the Mayor, Francisco Barnabas, and the Director General of Employment and Training Service (SEF) of the Murcia Region Gines Martinez.

The meeting, which also tracked the measures agreed last year to boost socio-economic activity of the town, served mainly to establish a protocol for ordering ahead of expected demand for employment that will occur occasion of the beginning of the regeneration works Portman Bay, scheduled for next spring.

In this sense, it was agreed that all persons interested in participating in future selection process must be recorded in the SEF, whose technicians are in permanent collaboration with the City in order to determine the profiles suitable for the tasks to be undertaken.

Similarly, and in the face of local companies that can act as subcontractors in the work of regeneration, and it was agreed that the Federation of Business and Professional Associations of the Union will prepare a directory offering the services of these companies in various sectors in which the project is undertaken.

The Local Employment Board will meet at the beginning of the year once they know the name of the company be awarded the contract for the regeneration of the Bay.
