Interview with Eva Ruiz, author of the poster of the Festival de Cante Flamenco XXXIII Lo Ferro (08/05/2012)

The poster for the Festival de Cante Flamenco XXXIII Lo Ferro is the work of artist Eva Ruiz Orihuela García.

This artist, infinite curriculum, began exhibiting his work in 1984 and has since dedicated his life to art.

His work has been recognized with national and international awards for painting and has several second prizes and honorable mentions, among which the International Prize Caja Madrid.

Part of his work has been acquired by entities such as Cajamurcia Foundation, Fundación María Zambrano, Savings Bank of Castile-La Mancha, etc..

In this poster, has been able to mix aspects so ingrained in the female flamenco dance, the blue of the Mediterranean and one of the hallmarks of the municipality of Torre Pacheco is the Cabezo Gordo.

Eva is considered a very hard on herself, for her painting is not only his work, is his life.

Of the awards you have achieved and the presentations you have done, what are the most relevant to you?

The prize contest Caja Madrid Antonio Lopez, which gave me a mention and then the prize Caja Madrid.

From my exposure ... my first show, I did it in the CAM, it was very important to me it reflected the views of the valley floor and Orihuela.

And the last, that of Miguel Hernandez, who is on the theme of Orihuela, Orihuela landscapes, his figure, his home, his family, his whole story is collected here, for me, the most important.

Like flamenco?

I love it.

I've seen live flamenco many times and know the Festival of Lo Ferro, making it a pleasure to be part of it.

The poster is of a dancer dressed in white with a back stance, what you have been inspired to make the poster?

First in a figure, because the figure it is also important for me, especially in a beautiful Flamenco position, I really like the blue sky and the theme of light, light Mediterranean and of course could not miss Cabezo Gordo because it's emblematic Torre Pacheco.

One thing that has attracted much attention and she is dressed in white.

Yes, white is a color that I like, and for me is a very pure color and very bright.

I loved the picture.

Have you been satisfied with this work?

The truth is I can not say that I be satisfied with everything I do, always ask for more, but yes, I am satisfied, although I am very demanding with myself.
