The "Day of the Union" opens the festival of singing 52 of the mines in the day prologue (30/07/2012)

Tomorrow is the big day that opens the Flamenco Festival 52, with the "Union Day", an evening full of activities for unionenses and lovers of flamenco.

At eleven o'clock at night, the stage of the old Public Market will house the 58 musicians who form the musical group "Union City", which will join the members of "Coral Argentum" in the interpretation of the solemn hymn the Union.

It was in 2006 when both groups debuted with the song of the municipality, giving the city and involving mining the melody that accompanies today.

After the performance of "City of the Union" and "Coral Argentum", the night will give way to the Rondalla and Chorus of the Elderly Home in La Union, playing the melody in turn leading to this evening's anthem unionense festival itself.

The flamenco choreography is the next performance of the night, carried out by students of the School of Flamenco Cante de las Minas.

"Snails" and "Tientos Tangos" are the two songs performed by this very young jondo school, which premieres its second class at the 52 Festival unionense.

The evening Trovera put the finishing touch to the "Day of the Union", by the Association Trovera Jose Maria Marin, who collected the most renowned singers of the region.
