Visitor 100,000 Mining Park (26/11/2012)

This morning the Mining Park of La Union has welcomed its 100,000 th visitor, honor which went to British citizenship Aline Newman, from the English town of Coventry, and is spending a few days relaxing in the Mar Menor area in the company of 50 other compatriots who also accompanied her on the visit.

The ceremony was held at the Mina Groups Vicenta and was chaired by our mayor, Francisco Bernabé, and the Director General of Cultural Assets of the Region of Murcia, Francisco Gimenez, who were accompanied by the councilors of Culture, Tourism and Environment, Julio Garcia, Antonio and Fernando Alcaraz Liarte respectively.

The Mining Park of La Union was inaugurated on July 9, 2010 by the President of the Region of Murcia, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, opening its doors to the public a month later, so this important figure has reached just two years after its operation.
