The managing director of the Institute for Housing and Land in the Region of Murcia (IVS), Christopher Moreno, today held a meeting with the Councillor for Social Services City of La Union, Pagan Rosa Lopez, in order to plan the development of various performances this year in the municipality within the remit managed.
During the meeting, highlighted the work carried out jointly by the two governments in the San Gil, following the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Agency, the City Council of the Union and the nonprofit association Sierra Minera Foundation on 23 December 2008.
Moreno recalled that it was a joint action for the remodeling of the neighborhood dating from the 80s.
Initially, 152 homes were built public advocacy, that by the time and construction features were in an unhealthy situation for the residents of the neighborhood.
IVS investment in comprehensive recovery process has amounted to more than 2,500,000 euros, which aimed to rehabilitate 60 homes in which they were previously relocated families were surveyed by the City.
Although the agreement is already extinct, both the IVS as the consistory unionense expressed their commitment to continue to monitor the actions of the district of San Gil for the benefit of the municipality.
In addition, both institutions discussed the outline of the state of housing in public advocacy Union requiring the collaboration of social services in order to mitigate, to the extent possible, the consequences generated by the current financial situation weaker family economies.
