The International Festival del Cante de las Minas will feature more than 260 cultural activities (22/07/2013)

The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz, with the mayor of La Union and Foundation CEO Cante de las Minas, Francisco Bernabé, today the cultural agenda of the 53rd International Festival, which takes place from 31 July to August 10.

In the presentation, Cruz said it is a cultural agenda "virtually incomprehensible" to be "the most complete and how many have been enriched."

The Minister referred to the more than 260 activities of the cultural agenda as "the space where they meet the local, national and international festival" and, in this regard, he referred to the program of activities as "as close, close and emotional "event, as long as" is one context in which they perform most of the tributes that underpin the days of Cante de las Minas ".

Also, the Minister of Culture said that the cultural agenda "will increasingly expanding their registration" with film, literature, cuisine and painting, among others, which "forms an atlas of culture in all its forms and manifestations" that this year is over 11 days, "almost without pause, rich and complex" where the Cante de las Minas "expresses its international launches this year in a much more explicit and effective".

In its 53rd edition, the cultural agenda of the Festival will feature the exhibition 'Lutheria Union', where you can see the collection of guitars luthier Juan Antonio Romero Vera, as well as 'singers and mines', an exhibition of acrylic and watercolors on the winners of the Mining Lamp and landscapes of La Union created by the artist Antonia Castejón.

In addition, those attending the Festival will see the exhibition 'Miguel Poveda, singing genius', which includes photographs of Jose Antonio Franco on Figure honored at the event as well as the sample of monumental public sculptures in the collection of the Instituto Valenciano de Arte Modern 'Pasión flamenca', performed by internationally renowned artists such as Anthony Caro, Ramon de Soto and Juan Muñoz, and the painting exhibition 'In light of the Union', by Pedro Diego Pérez.

The Festival will also feature "flamenco Mornings", a film and literary cycle in which films and documentaries will be screened as a 'Mining', 'From root to branch' or 'White', and the program 'The Week' XL 1990 dedicated to International Festival del Cante de las Minas.

As for literature, 'Mornings flamenco' will feature the presentation of the book 'The Children's Union of journalist Angela de la Llana Campos' melodic instrument flamingos Studies', by the flautist and researcher, award Reef 52 Festival, Oscar Manuel, and 'The correspondence of Sabicas' flamingo stirrer José Manuel Gamboa.

The International Festival del Cante de las Minas IV will also feature the Flemish Gastronomic in which 13 restaurants, wineries, bars and taverns offer tasting menus priced around 9.90 and 40 euros.
