One in three municipalities of the Region of Murcia and 'Entrepreneur Municipality' (17/12/2013)

Stresses commitment to advance the exemption from duties or taxes to any business activity related to flamenco

The Minister of Industry, Enterprise and Innovation, José Ballesta, today signed an agreement with the mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, making this locality 'Entrepreneur Municipality', which involves the implementation of a series of actions to encourage the creation and development of business activities, with special emphasis on promoting entrepreneurship.

Ballesta said that with the signing of this agreement, "the region reaches a milestone in the promotion of entrepreneurship, since one in three municipalities is already integrated into the network of entrepreneurs municipalities."

The agreement about eight lines of action which are specified in more than 50 measures, which, as noted by the Minister Ballesta, "aimed at promoting unity of action between different administrations, regional and local articulates, which are coordinated effectively and efficient for boosting economic growth and creating jobs. "

It is therefore to develop comprehensive policies to promote entrepreneurship, support for SMEs and entrepreneurs, while "a set of actions aimed at facilitating business creation and development of job-creating initiatives develop," Ballesta said.

The holder of Company noted that the Convention "two fundamental commitments: administrative simplification and access to funding" are listed.

Thus, the agreement provides that the Union advance exemption from taxes or duties to any business activity related to flamenco.

Sources of self-employment in the municipality are also identified and attracting potential entrepreneurs are expected.

Also, both administrations cooperate in the enhancement of existing infrastructure and business development activities in support of business community and potential entrepreneurs through various instruments and integration in SMEs Red Point.

15 municipalities entrepreneurs

With the addition of La Union are 15 municipalities distinguished as entrepreneurs, they had already signed agreements to be accredited as 'Entrepreneur Municipality' the consistory of Abarán, Eagles, Alhama de Murcia, Murcia, Cartagena, Cehegín, Cieza, Fuente Alamo, Lorqui Molina de Segura, Mula, Puerto Lumbreras, and Totana Yecla.

The 'entrepreneurial village' initiative is an action that the regional government, through the Instituto de Fomento (Info), performs a pioneer in Spain, part of the 'Emprendemos Plan' of the region, for which the Community won the award 'European Entrepreneurial Region' of the European Commission.
