The Guardia Civil of the Region of Murcia, under the 'Provincial Plan Copper Theft', has arrested one person for his alleged involvement in the theft of copper wire of various sections of the power line of the town of La Union.

The Meritorious result of the collected evidence, identified the vehicle used in the supply of material, a tourism rental by an electric company employee whose regular driver matched the identity of the person making sales of copper.

The Civil Guard has determined that the arrest is linked to the sale so far this year, more than half a ton of copper wire and scrap material whose provenance could not be established.

The now detained, occurring in the purchase invoices examined the delivery of copper material in junkyards to 12 times, so the investigation remains open for the elucidation of possible facts related to this arrest.

Research by the Meritorious have, for the moment, clarifying various crimes and recover 50 kg of copper wire.

The suspect, recovered purposes and proceedings have been made available to the Magistrate's Court in Cartagena (Murcia).
