The UCAM and Sing Foundation of Minas offer training courses during the festival this summer (30/06/2014)

The journalist and writer Juan Vergillos, National Prize of Flamenco, performed another seminar on 'History Flamenco'

The Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities, the City of La Union and the UCAM presented this morning the two courses that will give the dancer and choreographer Mercedes Ruiz, National Award for Flamenco dancing on the occasion of the 54th International Festival of Cante Mine.

The courses, organized by Flamencology of San Antonio (UCAM) Catholic University and the Foundation Cante de las Minas, will take place at the School of Flamenco Cante de las Minas Art and between 11 and 15 August.

The first of these, the hours will be 9:30 to 11:30 pm, will be focused on the 'joys dance', while the second, which is offered from 12:00 to 14:00, will be on the ' reed dance '.

Both are ten hours, they are intended for students with intermediate or advanced level and places are limited.

The cost of each of these training activities is 110 euros (180 if you do both) and include two invitations to the conference semi-finals of the International Festival del Cante de las Minas.

Milestones, schools and trends

The course 'History flamenco' that will give the journalist and writer Juan Vergillos, Flamencología National Award was also presented.

In ten hours of this initiative, Vergillos will tour the great landmarks, schools and trends of singing, dancing and flamenco guitar, from the birth of the 'flamenco' in the field of romantic bowling scene as synthesis musical and literary traditions Andalusian, Gypsy, Black, American, French and Italian, to the present.
