The Mayor of La Union and Executive Chairman of the Foundation Cante de las Minas, Francisco Bernabé, accompanied by the Minister of Education, Culture and Universities, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, held a formal meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Spain Zhu Bangzao in which both have approximate positions to continue the expansion of the International Festival del Cante de las Minas abroad.
Specifically, in this first contact, has agreed to receive a delegation from China to La Union for next year in order to explore more of the Festival.
Thus, the internationalization project continues to run after collaborations with Japan and India, which could add China shortly.
This would mean that the Cante de las Minas becomes the input of flamenco and culture of Spain in the eastern power, so we can establish the model contest in China.
The Ambassador has been amply satisfied after his visit to La Union where it has been present in the Festival concerts and events of the Cultural Agenda.
Thus, Zhu Bangzao could see first hand the municipality's history and tradition of mining songs, and has said he's fascinated with the art of flamenco.
For his part, the Minister Pedro Antonio Sánchez said that the Union and its Festival are the main attractions of Murcia and the Spanish culture abroad, and added that the event has not yet unionense plateaued in its expansion around the world.
