The Club Taurino de Murcia has awarded the Foundation Cante de las Minas de La Unión in their awards "Ambitions 2014".
The "Special Mention" is produced for his contribution to the promotion of bullfighting, combining the arts of flamenco and bullfighting.
The Executive President of the Foundation Cante de las Minas and La Union Mayor, Francisco Bernabé, thanked the president of Club Taurino de Murcia, Alfonso Aviles, this recognition, which confirms the work for bullfighting that is being developed in the unionense event for years.
Francisco Bernabé recalled that the Cante de las Minas Foundation supports unconditionally and forever the world of bullfighting as an unmistakable symbol of Spanish culture, as it is with the flamenco.
"Both Barnabas says artistic-expressions are part of the history of our country, and around the world represent the very essence of our traditions and our culture."
This conviction is what has led the Foundation Cante de las Minas explicitly defend bullfighting in all its expressions.
A defense that is demonstrated with initiatives like the big show "Dollhouse Flamenca" released this year 2014 within the 54 Festival del Cante de las Minas.
This special bull run held last August 13 in the arena of "La Cartuja" was successful, as the sellout was reached and had an important media coverage.
It was a show designed to extol the beauty of two of the most representative artistic expressions of Spain, closely related to each other over the years: bullfighting and flamenco.
Taurine and the music festival staged the singer Estrella Morente and the singer "Archangel".
