The full City Council unanimously approved the Agreement on the Accession of the City of La Union to the "Code of Practice for the installation of mobile phone infrastructure", approved by the Executive Committee of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces and ratified by operating companies in the telecommunications sector and the commitment to compliance.
Adherence to this code is the reference for Local Government and industry to, first, expedite the processing of municipal licenses and secondly, to help resolve conflicts that may arise.
Also, accession also means having the Technical Advisory Service and Information (SATI) FEMP, used to respond to inquiries on the deployment of mobile phone masts in the town may be made in relation to technical, legal and health and social management, thus securing, updating ordinances, the unification of the relevant legislation and all aspects related to the installation of such mobile telephony infrastructure in the town.
Our Mayor, Francisco Bernabé, said that with this tool will be able to deal with the necessary technical and legal advice municipal intention to concentrate all these telecommunications infrastructure antenna in a park outside the village.
