On the local emergency protocol before any signs of Cold Drop (22/09/2014)

The past week has taken place in the hall of the City of La Union a coordination meeting of all those involved in the Municipal Emergency Protocol agents, in order to set the actions to be performed in the case of arrival in our town heavy rains or cold drop phenomena.

The meeting, which was chaired by our Mayor, Francisco Bernabé, and attended by Councillors Infrastructure, Public Safety and Personal, Salvador Martinez, Fernando Alcaraz and Maria Dolores Barrionuevo, respectively, has been attended by those responsible for the effective municipal operating in these emergency situations, such as officers of the Local Police, Civil Defence volunteers, the workers of the Municipal Brigade, municipal technical infrastructures, Municipal Services Company (USM) and responsible Acciona company in the town.

The coordination meeting, which have been revised prevention work already undertaken as cleaning drains and scuppers rainwater collection has served to establish the framework for action in the various updates that may occur to the town and have established and effective means available in times of emergency and according to the incidents that occur, setting in around 40 manpower which act in such situations.

Among the material resources that are counted include a fire truck, five trucks and various support vehicles of the local police and other municipal equipment and several bilge pumps, traffic signaling equipment and various tools and materials.

All the neighbors who throughout the day today we are at risk of yellow alert rainfall is also reported.
