The Department of Social Policy of the City of La Union, headed Rosa Pagan, has launched a year its traditional solidarity campaign for the collection of non-perishable food for the next Christmas.
Anyone interested in collaborating can deliver your food donations until Tuesday December 23, both Pinion House and headquarters of Social Services, located at Matadero Street (next to the Blacksmith Association and Health Center) in hours from 9:00 to 14:00, Monday to Friday;
and in the afternoon, at the headquarters of the Brotherhood of Christ of the Miners, in schedule from 17.00 to 20.00.
Foods that are collected will be distributed among the neediest families in the municipality.
Our Mayor, Julio Garcia appeals to all unionenses to participate actively in this campaign and show solidarity spirit that has always characterized the residents of our town in this good cause.
