Barnabas announced to be built shortly roundabout to La Union from the Llano del Beal (05/01/2015)

The Director of Development, Public Works and Planning, Francisco Barnabas, today met with the Mayor of La Union, Julio Garcia.

After the meeting, has advanced the commitment of the Regional Government to build a roundabout to La Union from the intersection between the entrance to the street of this town and the junction with Highway Llano del Beal.

"This is a very important initiative, in order to improve road safety in a stretch where they run thousands of vehicles a day, which leads to two crowded schools, and requiring immediate action," said the holder of Development.

At the request of the Mayor, the Director is also committed to creating new social housing.

"We will carry out the construction of a block of buildings of public promotion, in order to meet the needs of a worthy dwelling for families with more limited resources of this town," said Francisco Barnabas.

Furthermore, the mayor of La Union has shown interest in joining the SIVMURCIA, the portal of the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Planning offers the geographical location of the buildings in the region, and its basic characteristics, in As for use, occupation and age.

Another point on the agenda of this meeting was the regeneration project Portman Bay.

Both leaders agreed to go with immediate effect to the Ministry of Environment to set a date for a new coordination meeting between the three governments;

to discuss the latest developments of the Directorate General of Coasts relating to status of the statements that have governed the tender for the works of regeneration of Portman.
