Lots of people joined Saturday afternoon the Christ of the Miners in the Via Crucis Penitential along the Sierra, starting from the Mina Groups Vicenta and reaching the Rosary Church, liturgical under the direction of our pastor, Ginés Luis Vicente.
The Via Crucis, which this year has fulfilled its fifth year, was chaired by the Directors of Education, Culture and Universities, and Development, Public Works and Planning, Pedro Antonio Sanchez and Francisco Bernabé, respectively, Admiral of the Arsenal of Cartagena Fernando Zumalacárregui, by the Mayor of La Union, Julio Garcia, and Brother of the Brotherhood of the Holy Christ of Mining, José Antonio Pérez and Commissioner of Cartagena, Ignacio del Olmo.
Joining them all councilors of the government team of the City, the officers of the Brotherhood, the Presidents of the seven groupings, and their respective boards, plus a host of brothers and faithful who wanted to show their fervently to the Lord of Mina.
Along the Way of the Cross, Christ was ported to shoulders components of their grouping, as well as several local groups such as the Knights of St. Barbara, the Neocatechumenal communities, members of the government team and the Mesa Guild.
With this act, the Union has once again highlighted the passion for the Pattern of Mining, seamlessly combining religion and Christian faith with roots and mineral essences themselves of our people.
