Paco de Lucia, and Poveda Morente star in the cultural agenda of the Cante de las Minas (29/07/2015)

The LV International Festival of Cante de las Minas, to be held from 5 to 15 August in La Union and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Spokesperson, will host more than 30 activities among which a photographic exhibition on Paco de Lucia, the presentation of the book 'Morente Universe' and the documentary '13 .miguel Poveda '.

The Minister Noelia Arroyo, the mayor of La Union, Pedro Lopez Milan, and the coordinator of the festival, Manuel Navarro, presented today the agenda of the event, which also includes performances as a flamenco show in the Mina Groups Vicenta within the Festival that features 75,000 euros support from the Community.

Noelia Arroyo stressed "the importance of flamenco as a cultural landmark that is enhanced through festivals like the Cante de las Minas, one of the main flamenco events in the world with which we are proud to collaborate from Culture. The event continues to grow, captivating in every issue to a greater number of viewers with a gala in which the predominant artistic quality and a wide cultural agenda this year will recall the likes of Paco de Lucia and Morente ".

Regarding the galas, the Cathedral of Cante receive artists like Estrella Morente, Sara Baras, the Capullo de Jerez singers, El Pele and Archangel and guitarist Carlos Piñana with the Symphony Orchestra of the Region.
