The flamenco song back to its roots with Barullo and David Lagos (12/08/2015)

In the afternoon, the Mina Groups Vicenta host performances of prizes and Desplante Mining Lamp 2014 |

The International Festival of Cante de las Minas has been scheduled for tomorrow, 13 August, a flamenco evening in one of the origins of flamenco singing scenarios: the Mina Groups Vicenta, starring Barullo and David Lagos.

Then will take place in the Public Market the second semifinal of the competition.

Juan Francisco Montoya and David Lagos Barullo will be responsible, from eight o'clock in the afternoon, to offer this show in one of the galleries of the mine Groups Vicenta.

Both artists are winners of last year's festival.

Barullo won Desplante, the highest distinction in dance, and David Lagos won the Mining Lamp for his singing.

The singer also won four awards in the categories of joys, seguiriyas, Malaga and Cartagena.

Inside the mine will resound the songs that brought the people of the south and those trying to ease the suffering that meant working in the mine.

The guest artist David Lagos opens its representation among other cantejondo playing a reed sticks, seguiriyas and bulerías, accompanied on guitar by his brother Alfredo Lagos.

Din, meanwhile, will provide all its art inherited from his grandfather Farruco, his mother La Faraona and has continued into its prime Farruquito and Farruco.

He will dance first a Taranto, followed by a musical theme, ending with a bulería por soleá.

Throughout the performance the dancer also intervene in Lagos singing back.

Barullo accompany the cante Antonio Villar, on guitar the ninth and Manuel Fernandez palms.

Barullo stands out for its simplicity and elegance in the tables.

His deep gypsy dance and canastero inherits from his mother and grandfather, maintaining the purity of the family and the male dance.

For his part, David Lagos recital is an intense and rich journey through the styles of Jerez flamenco, from a contemporary vision.

Already in the Old Public Market of the Union will be held, starting at 22:00, the second semifinal contests of song, guitar, Flamenco dancing and instrumentalist.

A total of eleven artists, among which are six singers, a guitarist, three dancers and a flamenco instrumentalist aspire to reach the final.
