Portman Nautical entities support the future marina, with an investment of over 48 million euros (10/11/2015)

The Minister of Public Works and Infrastructures, Francisco Barnabas, today held a meeting with the boards of the Yacht Club of Portman and nautical sports Cultural Association The streetlight Portman, represented by their presidents Blas Isaac and Joaquin Martinez, respectively, to inform projects being promoted from the Ministry in this area of ​​town.

The status of the proposed new marina at Portman Bay in the Union, to be built after regeneration and environmental soundness of the bay, which will be awarded shortly by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment is specifically addressed.

In this regard, it was informed that it is in the final phase of the economic feasibility study that will be completed in the coming months, in order to coordinate the timing and the initial forecasts in the process of the project, with an investment of 48.3 million euros.

As for the sports project, representatives of the yacht clubs met in detail the characteristics of the performance, which will mean a sea-sport lever that will generate jobs and economic benefits.

This is a port that will have a total area of ​​39,000 square meters berth, which will include 171 berths of the fishing pier and traditional uses and have a warm space that will allow the docking of 815 boats.

In addition, it will have buildings of yacht club, restaurants, shops and parking area.

Los Belones road to Atamaría

Another issue that focused the meeting was the improvement project, expansion and refurbishment of the RM-314 highway, which connects the town of Los Belones and Portman population, which will have a tender budget of almost 4 million.

This project has now come to notice in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia, with a base budget of 3,920,876 euros bidding.

Those interested will have a deadline for bids of 26 natural days from the day following the publication of this notice.

The works, which have a deadline of 18 months, will develop along more than four kilometers and consist of an extension of the platform, which will directly affect the improvement of road safety and driving more 4,200 drivers who travel daily by this route.

This performance is an improvement of communications for South eastern area of ​​Cartagena, which gives access from the highway to La Manga to an area of ​​great interest, which accumulates an annual traffic of more than 1.5 million vehicles.
