El Cante de las Minas triumphs in FITUR (30/01/2009)

The dancer Alfonso Losa, Desplante Trophy International Festival of Cante de las Minas in 2008, accompanied by all its flamenco, has offered a performance in the flag of the Region of Murcia in the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) before the the Mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, and numerous authorities in the region and a devoted audience that filled the room.

Magic, flamenco duende, ultimately, the best of flamenco has moved from La Union and the Cathedral of Cante to a major world tourism fairs.

Alfonso Losa The Spaniard has shown his talent, the best of their potential, as it did last summer when he won the prestigious trophy Desplante Dance Competition of the International Festival of Cante de las Minas.

The veteran flamenco festival of La Union, the most significant of those held, has in this year's International Tourism Fair held in Madrid, a very prominent role, through an audiovisual presentation which makes approach to the past, present and future of the event, which in 2010 will meet half-century.

Thus, all visitors to FITUR have known the charm and appeal of singing, dancing and flamenco guitar, which reaches its peak August night in La Union, either with the trappings of the leading figures Flemish art flamenco, or the singing contest, guitar and dance, authentic germ and essence of the Festival.

The city of La Union had an important presence in the International Tourism Fair 2009.

The Day of the Region of Murcia had the main event of the complex presentation of Mina Groups Vicenta, by the Mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, and the President of the Autonomous Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel.

Groups Vicente Mine, with more than 2,300 square meters open to the public at 80 meters depth, it will become a major regional tourism references.

Huge galleries, special vaults, huge pillars and even an underground lake of reddish water form a unique and different, a place open to the senses.

And thanks to a spectacular musealization (special effects, audio, articulated dummies), visitors should be prepared to travel in time and move to another time when you see how they lived and worked for former miners.

The Union put the finishing touches to their participation in FITUR its most important cultural representation: the International Festival of Cante de las Minas.
