The Mayor of La Union, Francisco Barnabas, and the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation of Cartagena, Mariano Rosique, presented at the headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce in Cartagena, the First Conference of Tourism Mining.
These first conference dedicated to mining tourism, will be held on February 20, 2009, beginning at 9:30 pm in the Auditorium of the Hon.
City of La Union.
The conference is organized by the Cartagena Chamber of Commerce and the Municipality of La Union.
The Mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, stressed the importance of "make known the excellent tourism opportunities offered by our great mining heritage," expressing his hope that "these days have a continuity in successive years."
Francisco Bernabé noted "the enormous leap in quality for our tourism which involves the enhancement of the theme park in La Union Mining", highlighting the "attraction that will certainly visit the Groups Mina Vicenta nineteenth century and over 2,300 square meters open to the public. "
