González Tovar opened the municipal office of the INSS citizen services in the municipality of La Union (24/03/2009)

The government delegate in the Region of Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, the provincial director of the INSS, Francisco Sanchez, and the mayor of La Union, Francisco Martín Barnabas, inaugurated this morning the new Office Support and Management Information INSS in this county.

González Tovar explained that the creation of the Municipal Office is part of the collaboration agreement signed between the City of La Union and the Provincial Directorate of INSS on 6 November at the Government Delegation in the Region of Murcia.

"This agreement, the delegate stated aims to ensure that citizens living in the city have greater access to services offered by the INSS in their own municipal buildings, avoiding the commute to the Provincial Directorate."

Under the agreement, the municipality of La Union has launched in the office of City Council and city staff and adequate material resources.

For his part, Gonzalez Tovar reported that the INSS has provided the staff of the Municipal Office technical information necessary to facilitate the performance of their duties as well as a hotline, where you can request an overview of the issues that are raised by citizens from the scope of municipal action, and the publications and brochures to edit the INSS, for their information and dissemination to users of the Office.

Thus, process and receive the documentation submitted by the people of La Union.

At the same time, the INSS report to the staff of the Office of the status of the files kept by the INSS on to them information required by stakeholders.

The government delegate said that, within the framework of the agreement between the INSS and the city of La Union, also carried out actions for the dissemination of information.

"Informative talks will be organized on various topics related to social protection, addressed to both city employees as a benefit recipients and the general population," explained Gonzalez Tovar.

He has also clarified the Government Delegate shall be carried out actions to simplify administrative procedures.

Thus, in social projects developed by the City of La Union, whose recipients must prove their status as a pensioner or the amount of his pension, the City sent to Service and Information Center of Social Security in the area a relation to the identification data of the applicants, one after the deadline for applications.

Subsequently, the INSS forwarded to City Council, as soon as possible, an individual certification of each of the applicants stating the condition of the pensioner or pensioner and in the latter case, the amount of pension.

The enforcement of these commitments will be undertaken by a monitoring committee comprising two representatives of the INSS and the city of La Union.

Finally, Gonzalez Tovar explained that, to date, other 6 municipalities of the Region of Murcia have signed this agreement: Abarán, Bullas, Moratalla, San Javier, Beniel and Los Alcazares.
