The songs of mine will be of cultural interest (03/12/2009)

The Directors-General of Fine Arts and Cultural Heritage and Cultural Promotion of the Region of Murcia, Enrique Ujaldón and Antonio Martinez, accompanied by our Mayor, Francisco Bernabé, Murcia have announced this morning the opening of the file to declare the mining songs Levantine as a Cultural (BIC) of Nature Heritage.

With this decision, and once the processing of the application is going to get a musical manifestation of scope, for the first time, the highest degree of appreciation and recognition in the cultural sphere.

Thus, the songs of mine, not only will they be equated in importance to any great monument, but also will enjoy the highest possible level of legal protection.

Barnabas has expressed great satisfaction and pride felt by all without exception unionenses to this news, thus giving a step of great importance within the set of awards which is being Flamenco in general, especially during the application for his statement by UNESCO as World Cultural Heritage Site.
