Opening of the Naval Conference (28/01/2010)

The Naval Symposium I, held in the municipality of La Union from today until Saturday 30 January, have begun with the opening by the Mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, and Colonel Carlos Rey Vich, Director of Marine Corps School "General Albacete Fuster, Static Exhibition Marines.

This exhibit, free of charge, is located on Joaquín Costa plaza of the town and will be open from 28 to 29 January from 10:00 to 20:00.

During these days will show vehicles (Hummer and Defender), a zodiac of assault, a tent type "Drash" a nest of ametradalloras, a projection of the School of Marine and workshop knots.

The naval conference will end on Saturday with the swearing, or Renewal Pledge to the flag of Spain which starts at 11:30 am at the Polideportivo Municipal.

This meeting will be chaired by the Chief of Maritime Action Admiral Emilio Nieto Manso.

Already confirmed to attend the Regional Assembly President Francisco Celdran, the government representative in the region, Rafael González Tovar, and Minister of Presidency, Pedro María Reverte.

The ceremony will be formal in nature.

The Maritime Action Admiral Chief will be accompanied by all his staff.

In it you will enjoy the parade of troops, Tribute to the Fallen for Spain, official interpretation of hymns by the Military Band of Arsenal and the Tribute to the Flag.

This act, which have already registered over 300 people, is open to all civilians who intend to swear Flag for the first time or renew their oath.

Navy Days are framed in the events celebrating the 150 anniversary of the establishment of the Union as an independent municipality.
